Rise & Grind

Hello coffee lovers,

Welcome to the latest edition of SCT Brew News! If you're an avid coffee drinker, you know that freshly ground coffee can make a significant difference in the quality of your brew.

There are two main types of coffee grinders: blade grinders and burr grinders. Burr grinders are typically more expensive than blade grinders, but offer a few advantages.

  • Burr grinders produce a more consistent grind than blade grinders. This is because the grinding wheel in a burr grinder can be adjusted to create a specific grind size, resulting in a more even extraction and better-tasting coffee. With a blade grinder, the size of the grounds can vary widely, which can lead to over-extraction or under-extraction.

  • Burr grinders are generally more durable than blade grinders and can last for years with proper care and maintenance. While they may be a bit more expensive upfront, they can save you money in the long run by reducing the need for frequent replacement.

As always, we'd love to hear from you. Let us know if you have suggestions on how we can improve your SCT Coffee experience.

Happy brewing!
